Rhett Guter is an actor and choreographer whose passion is collaboration in theatre arts to tell story. Currently based in Chicago, he has worked on myriad projects all over the country from Shakespeare, to musical theatre, to new works. Rhett received his training at Southern Utah University in Dance Performance and Musical Theatre. Acting credits include: Tulsa in Gypsy at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, The Boy in Peter in the Starcatcher at the Utah Shakespeare Theatre, Action in the International Tour of West Side Story, Al in A Chorus Line and Munkustrap in Cats at the Paramount Theatre, and Harry Beaton in Brigadoon at the Goodman Theatre. Choreography Credits include: West Side Story at Drury Lane Theatre (Jeff nomination), Anything Goes, Peter and the Starcatcher and The Music Man at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Annie at Performance Riverside, and A Christmas Story: The Musical at the Paramount Theatre. Megan Thornton is a native of Orlando, Florida. She began training at the age of three with the Orlando Ballet School under Peter Stark and Dierdre Miles Burger. In her junior year of high school she competed in the Youth American Grand Prix semifinals in Tampa, FL. Megan then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to accept a traineeship with Ballet West studying with Jeffery Rogers and Jan Fugit. Then later moving on to Ballet West’s Second Company. Currently Ms. Thornton is a freelance guest artist based out of her home town in Florida.
Jakob Pringle grew up in Carmel, Indiana, and studied at the Central Indiana Academy of Dance. He placed 2nd in the Semi-Finals of YAGP in 2012 and competed in the Finals in New York City where he performed in the Grand Défilé for the YAGP Closing Night Gala at Lincoln Center. Jakob has been honored to be a guest artist with North Star Ballet in Fairbanks, Alaska, New American Youth Ballet in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Queen City Ballet in Helena, Montana, and St. George Ballet Company in St. George, Utah for their productions of The Nutcracker. He performed the role of Waltz Boy, set on him by Zippora Karz, in Utah Ballet’s production of Serenade. He has performed with Ballet West in their productions of Aladdin, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Giselle and The Sleeping Beauty. His training includes studying under Jeff Rogers and Peter Christie as a trainee with Ballet West in Salt Lake City, Utah, and numerous summer intensives across the US including Cincinnati Ballet, The Rock School of Dance, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and Ballet West. Jakob would like to thank the St. George Ballet Company for inviting him to return for this years Nutcracker.
Roy Fitzell began his training in ballet, classical Spanish dance, and tap at the age of five. But his early teens he was appearing professionally on the concert stage as well as in motion pictures, and by age 18 he was a guest principal dancer with the San Francisco Ballet Company. At age 22 he made his debut as a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. For many seasons he was a principal dancer/actor with the Los Angeles/San Francisco Civic Light Opera Association, and has scores of stage television and motion picture production's to his credit as performer, choreographer and director. Ray has also enjoyed a long and productive career teaching in higher education. For 10 years he taught at the University of California, Irvine, where he succeeded the founding dance director, Eugene Loring, and became the chair of the UCI Dance Department. For seven years he was distinguished artist in residence at Southern Utah University in Cedar city, Utah, where he also served as a choreographer for the Utah Shakespeare festival.
